The guy behind the box office glass said, ‘You could see John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ instead. It starts in fifteen minutes.’ So we bought tickets, fully planning to use these tickets to go into the ‘Poltergeist’ theater. But our devious plan was rudely thwarted by an usher who pointed out that our tickets were not for ‘Poltergeist’ but for ‘John Carpenter’s The Thing’ which was in theater three.
