Haha my story? Well I wouldn’t even know how to answer that.
I was just a young kid growing up in Bed-Stuy, y’know doing my thing on the corner. When one of my homies was gunned down. It got me thinking to myself: ‘I’m a one in every generation artist. I got this god given talent, I gotta show the world what I can do’.
After I met Ken-dawg [my manager] at a show, my whole angle on life changed. My drive and motives suddenly changed. Then my debut single took off and the rest is history. I guess I owe him a lot y’know.
For those who don’t know, how would you describe your sound?
My sound is something like mixing the very best of the rap world, with making love baby! Haha, nah it’s a mix of new wave rap and gangsta beats I’ve been told, but I’ll let ya&rs
Redbirds Sign Swedish Pitcher
MEMPHIS, TN -
This morning a 7'2" pitcher from Sweden, Sloof Lirpa, signed a season-long contract with the Memphis Redbirds.The year-old pitched four perfect games while playing in the Sverige Baseball League, leading the league in strikeouts, innings pitched and maintaining an ERA under all of last year.
With a mph reverse curveball, the 'Birds are confident that Lirpa will be an excellent addition to the already exceptional starting rotation. Although he has blatantly quirky pre-game rituals, including approaching the mound walking backwards and reciting the Swedish alphabet backwards, Pitching Coach Blaise Ilsley is confident his performance will overshadow the different methods he takes to prepare for the game.
"When I first heard him recite his alphabet backwards, it really caught me off guard." Ilsley explained, "As long as he is ready to pitch when we need him, I see no problem in the way Lirpa gets ready the way he does. I've only seen him pitch a couple times, but I can definitely say (the Redbirds) are lucky to have him joining the squad this year."

One of the best aspects of being born and raised in the great State of Iowa are the endless opportunities afforded to experience Mother Nature and her infinite offerings. First placing foot to ground in , in the community of Grinnell, gave me the best of times to be a youth in America: the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. Many times, I simply hitched a ride with our “up alley” neighbor, Howard Hide, to his farm for a bit of “slab” fishing. Mr. Hide was an aged man and would putz around his old farmstead, chore his few cattle and perhaps mow the yard. He and his wife, Lois, had moved to town years earlier and rented the crop-land to a neighboring farmer. His boots were, however, deeply entrenched in the soil, and he loved spending time there.
