Early Life of Sudarshan Pattnaik
Sudarshan was born to a poor family at Puri in Orissa. When he was just 7 years old, he started making designs with the sand. Later, after years of practice, he became popular as a sand artist. He has creativity and dedication to his passion. Even if he had no resources, he continued his art and now, everyone knows about his creativity and skills. Who is Sudarshan Pattnaik?
Sudarsan Pattnaik born in Puri nearly 60 km from Bhubaneswar the capital city of Odisha. He is the inventor of sand art in India. He started sculpting images on sand since the age of seven and has designed hundreds of sand sculpture. In the recent years people have started focusing on this art form. He has won many national and international awards for his creative designs and has recorded his name in the World records
He is the brandambassdor of NALCO, India.
Sudarsan Patnaik’s ultimateobjective is to createawareness and enthusiasmamong the people and make it popularprofessional art form among the people for which he is travelingvariousplaces in the country and demonstrating this art form by holding work shops and training. He established "The Golden Sand Art Institute” which is first of its nature in India. His sculpturesincludeenvironmental crisis, famous festivals, nationalintegrity and religious tolerance.
Pattnaik has so far participated in more than 50 international sand sculpture championships across the world and won many awards for the country. In June , he has won first prize in International Sand Sculpture Championship.
